A small team that takes AI implementation seriously.

We build AI infrastructure for regulated SMBs that need it to work — not for headlines, not for boards, not for theater.

Why BYND exists.

Two things became clear over the past few years.

First: every regulated SMB we talked to had tried AI. Most had failed. Not because the technology doesn't work, but because their data wasn't ready, the tools didn't fit their world, and nobody stuck around to maintain what got built.

Second: the agencies who could solve this properly were the ones who didn't want to. Enterprise consultancies won't take on a $400M RIA or a Series A medical device company. The economics don't work for them, and the engagements are "too small."

That gap is what BYND exists to close. Production-grade AI implementation, for companies the big firms ignore, at prices that actually make sense.

How we think about the work

AI doesn't fix bad data. We fix the data first.

Most AI projects fail before the first model runs. Cleaning and structuring data is unglamorous and we do it anyway, because nothing else works without it.

Implementation is the moat. Models are a commodity.

OpenAI and Anthropic ship the models. Anyone can call an API. What's hard — and what we do — is making AI work inside a real business with real data, real workflows, and real compliance requirements.

We don't ship and disappear.

Most AI consultancies treat projects as one-time engagements. We treat them as the start of infrastructure we'll maintain for years. Managed Operations exists because shipped projects fail without it.

We'll tell you when AI isn't the answer.

Sometimes your problem is a process problem, not a technology problem. We say so. We'd rather lose the sale than ship something that won't work.

What you're getting.

BYND is small. That's a feature, not a bug. You'll work directly with the people building your systems. No account managers translating between you and the engineers. No junior consultants assigned to "deliver." No deck-driven scope creep.

The trade-off: we take on a limited number of engagements at a time. If we're booked, we'll say so. If we don't think we're the right fit, we'll say that too.
